  • An enjoyable romp through some obscure folk

An enjoyable romp through some obscure and not so obscure, underground psychedelic folk music of the late 60s/early 70s. I picked this up because of the tracks I did know (Pentangle/Duncan Browne/Incredible Stringband/Fairport, etc.) as well as artists I’d heard of but didn’t know. If you also like the those bands, you’ll probably enjoy most, if not all on offer here. Although there are a couple of stinkers the majority are worth a listen and with the extensive sleeve notes, worth further investigation. A portrait of an innocent age with some interesting ideas!

  • Brilliant cd

This is exactly what I was looking for, something untraditional to build up my folk collection. Out of 63 tracks I only know 10 artists giving me an expanse of material to research. I truly am over the moon with this compilation, there's not a song that I dislike.
