Great nostalgia for a great era for pop music!
Essentially, an expanded version of the original Now That's What I Call Music album released in 1983 which, in itself, was a 'best of 1983' compilation covering the entire year (all subsequent numbered 'Now' albums have been released at a rate of 2-3 per year in the first few years before settling down to a pattern of 3 per year, and cover the period since the previous release). In a way, it's a pity that it includes many of the tracks from the original Now album as I already have those from the recent CD re-release of that title (and still have the original double LP I purchased when it first came out). But the inclusion of a total of 80 tracks makes this a more complete representation of some of the best songs of the year. As always with compilations of this nature, you are never going to being able to cater for everyone's tastes and there are bound to be tracks that you might find yourself skipping. But, to be honest, I find that very few fall in to that category from this era - it's the later titles where I have found myself liking fewer and fewer of the tracks with each subsequent release (a sure sign of getting old, I guess!).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
