ZF sprockets are among the highest quality and most technically advanced sprockets in the world. The secret is based on the combination of the durability of steel and the lightness of duralumin. This aluminum alloy is characterized by enormous strength, tightness and low weight. The tensile strength is about 11 times that of pure aluminum. With polymerization, duralumin almost reaches the strength of steel. As a result, lower weight and higher strength was implemented. The milling in the base of the pinion tooth ensures optimal self-cleaning. These cuts ensure that dirt cannot get between the teeth and therefore the chain and sprocket are not as fast. The service life of ZF-Dual sprockets is approximately three times longer than pure aluminum sprockets and 50% lighter than steel sprockets.
