A Magnificent Thermal Paste Solution
Used this product to replace Thermal Conductive Thermal Paste in a 2012 Mac Mini and in a 2014 MacBook Air. Also used it with new CPU Coolers in 3 Home PCs. Excellent thermal compound cleaning and application kit.
The two step cleaner in this kit makes it exceptionally easy to remove all traces of old thermal compound or pads with the minimum of fuss. Simply apply one or two drops of the cleaner to the surface(s) which need cleaning, let it soak for a short time then wipe off with a lint free cloth or tissue. Next apply one or two drops of the surface purifier and let it soak for a short time before removing with a lint free cloth or tissue. In my case the copper section on the heat-sink came up really bright and sparkling after the two step cleaning process. The supplied syringe of thermal compound makes application of the required amount an easy task and the kit contains enough cleaning solution and thermal compound for a good number of uses, the cleaning solutions have a pleasant orange like smell and are easy to work with, over all I would say this is a good value high quality product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Arctic Cool MX-2 Does exactly as it says on tube.
The CPU in my computer was running extremely hot so much so it corrupted windows. Stripped machine and cleaned out a little dust from the fan and then used this to remount heat sink to CPU. I can't say it was loud, seems like an invalid question. However it arrived on time, reduced my cpu temp from idling at about 91 degrees, to idling between 40-60 and throttling at 70-85. Used between an old Pentium D and a passive heat sink and have had no problems, CPU stays cool. You only need a tiny amount (definitely don't overdo it, if it spills over the edges of your CPU you will probably break the motherboard).
