    Easy Peasy Pie

I was not sure about ordering this after reading some of the reviews stating that there was a steep learning curve. I LOVE this machine. I make custom quilts for people with embroidered items. I have a Brother SE-400 but the embroidery hoop is a 4x4. It was needed something bigger but didn't want to pay a lot because I was just wanting a big hoop area. Well let me tell you I was totally surprised with this machine. Very easy to thread, easy to wind the bobbin runs very smooth. The embroidery side is very easy to learn. READ READ the book before during and after and you will Not have any trouble! I highly recommend this to anyone, beginners or if you have been sewing for a while. My sister is wanting to learn to sew so I had her get one to and she was so scared it would be to hard to learn she was off to the races in minutes. AWESOME

  • Affordable price, good quality

It's a simply-to-use machine intended for starters. It does excellent quality embroidery. You have to be thoughtful when choosing the embroidery thread, it has to be of good quality. I am very satisfied with my machine. It works with Windows 10. One thing about the negative side: the software wouldn't work without the machine being connected to the laptop. Editing designs it's not possible when away from the machine. It's a disadvantage which I did overcome by using a machine-independent embroidery software, I do my editing at home and take the ready edited designs to the workshop to use it on the machine. The machine works on 110V, I live in Europe so I had to buy a converter from 220V to 110V for it, an investment of 40€ in plus but well worth.

  • Excellent Machine

I thought of buying Singer legacy SE340/SE300, the latest model. But the price is three time then this. but the Functionality wise this once can satisfy what I wanted. Let me give some background this machine vs Latest SE300. This is machine old model, need computer to control the embroidery design. All the design, controlling, transfer you need computer (Mostly Windows XP, Windows 7 based..). I am using my old XP laptop with this machine which works out great. Read has issues with Windows 10. Not sure. But if you take the latest model, You can just use the USB Key and control the embroidery from the machine touch screen itself. So basically it has computer inside the machine. which makes the user's life easier. Also the latest model has lot of in build stitching styles. which I don't care much. If you know computer, you don;t need latest model and for 1/4 of the price ( Yes. I bought it for $285) you can get almost same functionalities. It came with Basic software, Auto punch, Photo stich, Hyper font softwares. This machine is solid and does the stitching also smoothly. totally satisfied.

  • Tickled pink

Received my new sewing machine today. I am so pleased with it so far. Haven't tried to embroidery yet but I did try all the decorative stitches and they look great. So pleased with the machine and the price that I paid for it. I can't wait to try the embroidery part. I am sure it will be fine. This is my second embroidery machine the first one was also a singer. Love to watch them work. Thanks!!!!

  • lots of options, big learning curve, only works on slow

Well, I did read that it had a learning curve, and it does! However, I have made a dozen beautiful embroideries, so I can't say it doesn't work...as I felt when the first dozen came out bad... For me, I had to slow the machine down to slow or moderately slow or it starts making loops in the embroidery. I am a beginner and using cheaper thread embroidex and thread art with thread nanny bobbin fill. The sewing part of the machine is superior to my beginner singer, and I have been able to use the rolled hem foot, for example, for the first time

  • A absolutely marvelous machine

I have always sewn and embroidery I did by hand. I wish I had brought this machine sooner, now I cant live without it. It did take a minute for me to learn the program and I'm still learning. It's well worth the time and investment. This machine does everything I need it to and more, love it !!!

  • So superior to Brother 400!

It seems to have been designed by real human beings. So much more logical for threading, and all other features work well. I am having a lot of fun with it.

  • easy!

This machine sews so smoothly and it incredibly easy to thread. The different thread design options are easy to find. I haven't had a chance to use the embroidery options yet but since the machine is a Singer, I think I will be pleased.

  • Takes some learning - but a fairly good machine.

After having and using this machine over a year, I have found that it is a pretty good machine. It's a little finicky, but it stitches beautifully. Make sure you have a solid, sturdy surface to use for embroidery because it will shake itself a little loose. For the price, it's definitely a good buy.
