This welding mask is ideal for a variety of different job types including plasma, tig, mig and arc welding. It features a large viewing area augmented by 4 sensors that will react to the light and set the visor to the appropriate darkness level. Just what I needed
I bought this helmet to replace an old Parweld one that had served me well for several years. This helmet is even better than my old one. I particularly like the true colour screen which is very light and clear before you strike the arc. The darkness is adjustable and the range good for MIG welding. It is comfortable and seems robust enough for my needs. I particularly like that it can be switched off and the batteries can be replaced as I am an occasional user so it gets long periods when not being used. Although I could have bought cheaper I decided on this helmet as it was a good price and from a well known brand as I value my sight. Overall I am very happy with it and hopefully it will last as long as my old Parweld helmet did.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Comfy and capable entry level helmet
I have a couple of self darkening helmets for one reason or another and this is well worth the extra little bit of money Vs the true 'budget helmets out there. I love SIP products and the Meteor 2300 is no exception. The larger viewing lens makes a huge difference and the grind function is really useful, I didn't buy it because of this function but have used it a lot.
