Putt this one, if you can.
This is a good, almost really good game let down only by a putting mechanic that seems to be more guesswork than skill, with the thumbstick feeling wooly and unresponsive in your putting backswing, then being super-dooper sensitive to the stroke forwards. Potential eagles and birdies become card killing 8's or 9's. "Just like real life then" you say and to a point I agree, it's just that I want to feel as though I can actually play the game, when I'm playing a game, if you know what I mean. If I wanted to feel humiliatingly poor at golf, I'd dust off my old clubs and limp round my local course, playing commando style and spending all my time in the water hazards and trees. Everything else about this game feels really polished and it was obviously made by folk who have love for the sport. Ball physics seem real and a poorly timed swing will get what it deserves. This is the best golf game since the early Tiger (ex-EA) Woods games, of that there is no doubt, but good grief, that putting...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
