It’s worth every penny spent on the W11C shreddee
I have used many shredders in my life..from office shredders that stand about 3 ft talk to smaller ones for the home. I just purchased this Fellowes shredder to replace another straight cut Fellowes shredder plus another from Staples which jammed every blessed minute. The W11C shredder stands shoulders above the rest. It is fast, but a little noisy and efficient. My daughter just moved out and left us with stacks of her mail. I'm keeping it. Fellowes is the best.
I am replacing a 20-yr old model on which the bin had cracked and broken. Ordered the same model but it is VERY NOISY !!! The new model has a complex ON/OFF switch which I do not like. This new one is s little smaller and lighter, much easier to empty. But it is WAYYYY too noisy. I am 92 and trying to shred everything in my home office, to "get my house in order". Thanks. Shredder
Shredder works fine. Don't know if there will ever be a shredder that holds enough shredded paper. My major complaint is having to remove the shredding unit to dump the paper. Great product but NOISEY
This shredder works very well. It does everything that is advertised. I especially like the weight (heavy) that makes it less likely to turnover. Multiple pages (I've only tried up to five) go through just fine, albeit a little slowly. Credit cards present no problem. The only downside to this shredder is the noise. GOOD SHREDDER
Would recommend this product to anyone needing heavy duty and consistently good shredding. The one slow thing about this shredder is that the number of pages slows down shredding, i.e. the more pages the slower the shredding. It does have a large basket so has less need to empty as often. It also has a locking mechanism which is very helpful. Although I don't have children, they sometimes visit to I can lock the shredder to prevent accidents by inquisitive young ones. This shredder was a replacement for another very old Fellowes. It is extremely powerful and does not lag in the least. A little noisier than the old one but well worth it to have the power.
