Reviews"Produced with plenty of rock-radio muscle by her original guitarist, John Shanks, the 12-song set comes paced with the kind of room-rousing choruses Etheridge specialized in during her early-90s commercial heyday.", 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "The album blurs the difference between hard-earned personal experience and social commentary....Reminding you that she's best when she brings both intensity and compassion."

  • Disappointing Album

Had great hopes for this album but was sorely disappointed. Not with the song composition or performance.... But with the production. Almost all the tracks are terribly over compressed such that listening is very tiring and irritating. There is no audio relief whatsoever, every thing is "pumped up" or "squashed" to the point there is little or no space in the songs, the vocals compete with the drums and all other parts present. Just very tiring to listen to. Apart frpm the horrendous compression, its just over produced and over performed. Every space in the song is full of something and Melissa is driven to perform excessively that seems to take away any feeling... Disappointing....
