This is one of the best range finder cameras ever made. Designed by Canon to compete with the Leica M3, this camera far surpasses the Leica M series in every aspect. A simple twist of a dial and the viewfinder goes from 35mm to 50mm to 85mm to 135mm for focus with out having to use a separate eye piece for each lens. The 7S has a light meter built into the camera body and on my 7S it is very accurate. The Leica M6 finally incorporated an internal light meter. Built like a tank, there is this wonderful feel of solid construction and quality. To be fair, I also use a Leica M3, a Leica IIIF and a Lieca Digilux 3 and a Canon 50D. Fifty years from now the Canon7S , the Leica IIIf and the Leica M3 will still be usable cameras along with my Rollei 2.8f. The digital cameras will be in the dust bin of history. Digital cameras are extremely versatile but the color saturation with film is very difficult to beat. The joy of the range finder Canon 7S is that one has to know what one is doing when you take a good photograph. Digital cameras in my humble opinion are nothing more than sophisticated point and shoot cameras. One learns about photography when using a range finder camera. I have been taking photographs since 1949. Started out with an old Kodak Brownie.

  • great leica thread camera

If you want to shoot film, this is the way to go. Small lightweight has everything you need and has an unbelievable number of lens options. It's nice to send your phone out and get the images back on a CD or download them.

  • a wonderful camera. You don't need to buy a Leica when these can be had

The body looks better than excellent +. The meter doesn't work but I knew that when I bought it. The first pictures taken with it are wonderful
