I use this in a sub at home
I bought this as a supplement sub to an EV ZLX12 (excellent), it is powered by its own 500WRMS class D amp (please note RMS not stupid power) controlled by a DSP that looks after its voice coil and resonance. Crossover is 48dB/Octave at 70hZ. A heavy sealed (I like it for punch) enclosure is used of 60Ltrs. The combined rig delivers 70dB@20hZ outdoors but indoors there is considerable boost from the floor. All in all good value for the DIYer and at these frequencies who is interested in ultra-linear anyway :) PIC is my office system including this guy!

Is not a powered subwoofer
Does contain an amp but no crossover to filter bass as a powered (active) sub should. If you filter the bass pre the device the bass quality is pitiful, woeful and distorted. It works "fine" as a standalone speaker for playing music from a USB or phone and should be advised as such and NOT as a "subwoofer".Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
