Armageddon Can't Stop This Guy
While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, The Book of Eli takes a look at what could happen after a nuclear war eradicates most of the life on Earth, and different paths the survivors might take. It is a film that shows both the best and worst of human nature, but manages to leave a mostly optimistic message that good does triumph over evil in the end. While there is very little character development in the film, it is well-cast, with Denzel Washington as the enigmatic Eli (on a mission from God) and Gary Oldman, who is on the same mission, but for Satan. There is a plot-twist at the end which most people won't see coming that is similar to the one in the Sixth Sense as far as the shock value. You'll probably find yourself watching the movie a second time, looking for clues that you missed on the first viewing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
