Once you get the hang of it, you will fall in love with this reliable and accurate camera. Olympus created a winner with this baby. I have two highly advanced Nikon DSLR cameras that are truly impressive and far superior, but this nostalgic era, analogue marvel is probably the best camera for any photography student to learn about photography. There is however one caveat, its redundant, along with many other film cameras of that period. So, if you're into nostalgia, photography history and learning about basic photographic principles, you have a winner.

I bought Olympus OM-4. It has many feature for exposure setting as later highest model in OM-4 Line, OM-4T or OM-4Ti but it has a half price of later model. In bright light using, memory setting exposure is very useful for portrait, but in low light source maybe not useful because it has lowest shutter speed at 1 per second and can synchronize flash at shutter speed 1/60 per second, maybe you can find this addition feature in OM-4T or OM-4Ti. I recommend this OM-4 for who need top feature in a small price.

The OM-4 was the workhorse of my 35mm photography throughout the 90's! Although some say the batteries drain, I disagree. I used SR-44 batteries which were expensive at about $5 each - and they lasted years / or months with heavy shooting. In combination with the Zuiko 85mm F2.0 I was able to achieve perfect shots on Kodak Tungsten slide film. This was important at Japanese weddings during the candle ceremony when the couple would be lit with a single spotlight. Single spot metering with the 85mm on the tungsten film rendered excellent exposure and skin tones.
