This saw from Makita is a well made tool, suitable for both professional and DIY use. It is surprisingly quiet and makes short and accurate work of board/sheet materials and construction timber too.
The blade supplied is suitable for both rip and cross cut and does not leave annoying burrs or splinters behind, as cheaper saws are apt to do. The finished cut edge on plywood is so smooth that it looks as though it has been planed. The finish is more like that of a table saw fitted with an underscore blade. A very impressive cut indeed.
The rip fence supplied also ensures accurate and consistent parallel cuts effortlessly.
It is easy to understand why the trade often prefer Makita tools to any other make.
I have no connection with Makita and use their tools professionally.
