100% Apple Thunderbolt Display compatible
Excellent, high quality, reliable product. Device works perfectly. Using this add-in card in my Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Hackintosh to pair it with my Apple Thunderbolt Display via Apple's Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter. It works! Unlike my initial build based on Gigabyte Z390 Designare motherboard (with onboard Titan Ridge JHL7540 Thunderbolt chip), which doesn't communicate with Apple Thunderbolt Display at all, this GC-Alpine Ridge add-in card (based on prev. gen Thunderbolt chip DSL6540) finally allowed me to see the image on display right from the moment I press power button on my system. Not working
So far impossible to get it to work. Win10 does not even recognize it. Also not in the BIOS recognizable, yet the BIOS has the card listed to be enabled. Due to that I don't even know if the card could be defective or the MB is the problem. Still working on it but not recommended, not a good value and not good quality since it seems to be a hassle or even impossible to get it to work. So far wasted money. It works as expected. Not without some issues - lose m.2 slot next to card as they share bus, hard to get it recognized requiring driver update, and detection utility is for attached devices, not card so may lead you to think card not there until you resolve final issue - a usb-c to thunderbolt 2 adapter. Thunderbolt Cards Sucks
