Great value and build. does the job very well for such a low price
Great value product. I needed something with variable power output so I am in full control. I shoot with manual exposure 95% of the time so I need to vary the flash output to gain a consistent exposure throughout the image. It also works great when using it's TTL when shooting in auto.

Great Ring Flash as a good price.
This ring flash is very good as it has many setting to adjust and extra rings to fit many other lenses and a stand to mount the flash away from the camera. It takes a little bit of getting used to with the setting but its like anything else you need to play around with it to get the best out of it, you will need to cut down the output of light as you are working very close, my first photos were washed out, so you need to bring the light down. One thing I do like about this one is the price, its very reasonable many ring flashes are very expensive and I don't think you need to pay so much, so have a look at this one first, good luck.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great product for the money, easy to use
Bought this primarily for using with my 100mm macro lens (67mm diameter). Despite having only minimal experience of using an external flash, I found this product very easy to use with my Canon DSLR - the LCD display appears to be pretty self-explanatory. Without bothering to read the manual, I was immediately able to attach the flash to the camera, set up e-TTL (which seems to work as I would expect), adjust the balance between the two half rings, use flash exposure compensation etc. Very happy with the results. There are a couple of settings I haven't used yet, but I don't anticipate any problems. When used on my 77mm diameter 24-105 lens at the wide end, I get a very distinct ring around my image (more than just a bit of vignetting). However, the product description did warn that this could be a problem, so I was only investigating and have no complaint - just a reminder for potential purchasers. My only (very slight) niggle is that the battery compartment cover doesn't feel quite as robust as I would like. I think I will be extra careful when I put batteries in or out. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to buy a ring flash without paying through the nose.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for the price.
This is the first time I’ve used a ring flash, and I was extremely impressed with it. I used it with macro shots out in the garden as well as indoors, and it proved very handy and easy to use. The only problem I found was some inconsistency in the automatic exposure, despite the E-TTL flash. A series of photos of the same subject, progressively stopping down the lens, resulted in uneven results, which could only be corrected by overriding the flash output. Luckily this can easily be done on the rear panel, and overall I’m very pleased with it, especially for the price.
