Each release seems to be at least as good as the last one. These songs have a real old english, almost Elizabethan feel to some of them. The musicianship is top notch, the songs are done in typical Alisdair Roberts style, he is becoming a firm favourite of mine and should be much more recognised for his worth in this day and age of crap revivalist bands, who lack of originality, or creativity. True, this style of music has been around for decades and longer, but this is reproduced in an individualistic style and stands head and shoulders above much of the jump on the bandwagon folksters and will still sound good in the next decade and beyond. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves and is remembered for his talent and integrity to make the music he loves and not sell out to the masses.
