Good quality amplifier mic at a very reasonable price
I have an Audix i5 mic that is very good when I mic my amps for a performance, but it's fairly pricey. I was looking for an equivalent mic when I came across the GLS ES-57. This mic is supposed to be very similar to the industry-standard Shure 57. I can't attest to that as I've never owned one. However, it compares very favorably to the Audix I already own. I used it to mic my amp during a concert a few weeks ago, and it worked very well. I would compare the sound quality to the more expensive Audix at a fraction of the price. And, I got a mic clip a 25-foot cable and a bag for the mic at a price I was happy with. I would recommend this product.

GLS Audio ES-57 microphone
I needed another mic for recording instruments ....mostly low wattage tube guitar amps. Its main use is in my small studio man cave. I read a lot of the reviews about this mic and others as well. I knew the sm-57 quality as we used those in bands for years. I just couldn't bit the bullet on the price for my application. This seemed like a good alternative. It does not come with a case or one of those zipper bags....just a mic and a stand clip. No biggie...I have a multi-mic case. The sound quality: this mic performed well into my tascam dp-01 fx 8-track recorder. For the price I'm very happy so far. But I am using it in a studio setting.... Road use my be a total other gremlin. If I get bored with its response at some point I may through some eq on it. I like it and I love the price. Remember.....try different mic placements..try a room mic ...so many possibilities. Ive been playing guitar for @ 30 yrs. Wow I'm old. The home studio thing is new to me ....but its great to create.

Good quality
Used mic on a custom made snare drum. Had good quality sound. I will try mic out on lead guitar next. Updated. I used on lead guitar and the sound quality was better then I expected. I thought I would have to EQ, but didn't have to touch EQ. I would recommend this mic.
