Not my personal favorite in the series, but is considered the best by many who play fighting games competitively. When it comes to 3D fighting games today, I personally dont think any can top Dead or Alive. It's easy to get into and have fun with for anyone but has some deep gameplay mechanics for the more dedicated gamers. That gameplay for more dedicated gamers is found at it's best in Dead or Alive 3, but for those just looking for a good time and might have a hard time finding people to play with there isn't as much to do in DOA3 as there is in DOA2 Ultimate or DOA4, other than beating the game with each character to see their endings. As with any Dead or Alive since 2, I can recomend this as a game for friends to get together or the whole family because it's one of the few fighting games that allows for 4 players to have fun at the same time, and even though it's an early Xbox release the graphics still hold up beautifully today.Read full review
For the time it was created it is awesome. Dead or Alive 3 is a fighting game in the Dead or Alive series, developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo in 2001 exclusively on the Xbox console as one of its launch titles. Dead or Alive 3 returns to take fighters to the next level. The third installment of the series features new characters, interactive environments, and all-new lighting effects. The player explores the many expansive levels in single-player mode or battle against up to four players in multiplayer mode.

This game has a variety of combos for every Fighter, ranging from easy to near impossible. It's a great addition to my growing Original Xbox collection. The game came in a black case, but I swapped it out for an Original Xbox case. So other than that, it was in great condition.

This game is amazing. I admit, the fighting and graphics could be better, but it is still very fun to play. If you like button mashers, then this game is perfect for you. If you hate button mashers, don't fear, there are many different moves and combinations you can learn and utilize. This game is fun for me(I'm not an advanced gamer, but I consider myself pretty good), and perfect for my wife(she's not much of a gamer, very little patience, and lacks coordination). This game is great for anybody between the ages of 13-40.
I cought this game, because I played every DOA game but 3. I bought it expecting to be simular to 2 and/or 4. But what I get is a game that incomplete. No new costumes unless you get bounse disc. Gameplay has changed a heck of a lot. need to use the D-pad to create combos instead of tabbing Punch of Kick. And the game just feels incomplete. Compared to recent DOA 4..this game seems to be grahpicly lovely, I mean stages are awsome. but game play is needed, and this game doesnt have the gameplay..If you wanna game and got a 360. just go get 4, its alot better than this..but if your willing to try by all means test DOA 3 for yourself.
