If you're familiar with Lewis because of his children's novels, The Chronicles of Narnia, than buckle up. The uncompleted, quasi-sequel to Out of The Silent Planet, from the Space Trilogy, is a perfect read in addition to the trilogy. It is, like the rest of the trilogy, a darker and grimier tale than the Narnia series, but not at all in bad taste. Lewis is superlative at constructing science fiction in that there is no need to willing suspend disbelief. His style is organic and relatable. I thoroughly enjoyed what there was of Lewis's most mysterious and astonishing tale.
