It is a good book, with some good exercises, but the 'hands off' approach is a little too vague at times, and I can't fully understand why someone would reiterate so many times that a method book does not have a 'method'.
You will certainly need to 'know your stuff' as many points are not introduced nor explained including some author-made abbreviations that are a little head-scratching for a while.
For the 'advancing guitarists' it provides a take it or leave it reference manual for some exercises and approaches to practice sessions, as well as some rather intense sightreading of complex chords in different tunings.
