I bought the book as I'd already watched a video of the first story in this book of three Charlie Muffin stories. I had enjoyed the film and hence I bought the book which contained three Charlie Muffin stories. Reading the book brought to light some of the odd bits in the film. The story is about Charlie Muffin who works for MI5 or something but he feels inferior as he has not been to public school but then he is streetwise. As the story evolves Charlie seems to have the upper hand. The story is not the regular spy story and Charlie turns out to be a bit dodgy and rather than spoil the ending for you, it is a very good tale. I thought the other two stories would go back to before the first story begins, but no I was wrong, they carry on. Charlie Muffin then becomes a very dodgy spy but there is no kung fu or people being blasted away, they are both slowly paced and both, like the first story, are a very good read.
