    For anyone who has been affected in any way by alcoholism in a family member or close friend this is a handbook explaining how Al Anon Family Groups work to support them. It explains the framework of the organisation, the structure of meetings, the 12 Step Programme, the 12 Traditions and the Concepts, providing people who have lived chunks of their lives in the chaos that accompanies addiction (alcohol in this case) with the means to access support, skills, and practical help to get their own life back on track regardless of what happens to their alcoholic family member or friend. For people who feel they have tried everything and failed this shows how joining an Al Anon group and attending regularly can help to restore hope..
