  • The best bird identification guide for everyday use.

No bird identification book is perfect, but in nearly 40 years of birdwatching this is as close to the ideal as I've seen. The illustrations are very clear and accurate, and capture much more of the character of the birds than most guides. The text is also very useful and complements the illustrations. If you don't have a copy, and are a keen birdwatcher - you should try and get one.
