Proofreading simply explained but in detail with some examples
I'm 62 years, unemployed last year thanks to Covid, now suffer with arthritis and no-one is looking at my CV. Spent 80% of my working life as an audio/copy typist where attention to detail was essential particularly for fraud reports and Police documents, proofreading, when I've completed a course to gain a qualification will provide me with employment. Reading through this book has helped me to make the decision to proceed and understand exactly what is involved, i.e. not just checking spelling errors.
