It is a place he will never forget. There he will come to learn the story of Cathy: how she was forced to choose between her well-meaning husband and the dangerous man she had loved since she was young. How her choice led to betrayal and terrible revenge - and continues to torment those in the present. How love can transgress authority, convention, even death. And how desire can kill.

  • underwhelmed..

i purchased three books for my a level literature, all of which stated they were at least “readable”. They came today, and i’m appalled by the quality in all honesty. the first book came, and was not the same version as was mentioned. i wouldn’t normally be fussy about this, but the book had a sticker on the reverse side saying £1.25, when i bought it for closer to £3. the next book came fully annotated, with stains and spills all over the pages. not only this, it had a message on the front page stating is was “not fit for use”. the last book came covered in what i can only hope is foundation.., with spills and rips all over the pages. All in all although they stated they weren’t “brand new” none of the books arrived in fit conditions.
