Easy to read, easy to understand, couldn't put the book down. Every library should have a copy. The author has given some young muslim girls in parts of the most poorest regions, a chance of an education, with success. Some of the background to the troubles in the area are given, and some facts and figures as to how much the US spends on its military force, compared to how little it spends on international aid. The author argues that if children are provided with education, the problems of "radicalisation" should not occur. Parents should not have to have the choice between their children not having an education vs going to a school that teaches radical ideas and very few other skills - which the radical muslimist groups provide for free... The author has tried to fit in with the people he is in contact with and lives with. he does not attempt to impose his ideas on them, and tries to consider all factors before building a school. It is good to hear that some of the girls who have had an education through his schools (taught by local teachers) have been able to go on to further education and returned to their villages as teachers or midwives etc.Read full review
