'Andy Warhol: a factory' is the catalogue from an exhibition put on at the Palais Des Beaux-Arts in Brussels in 1999, with an introduction by Germano Celant in french. It was produced in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation, and covered his entire working career from his 1950s work as a graphic designer right up to his paintings with Jean-Michel Basquiat in the 80s. All aspects of his career were included and the catalogue has stills from his films, photos from the Factory and work with the Velvet Underground, as well as his artwork. There are 571 indexed illustrations and photographs, making this an invaluable resource for anyone interested in Andy Warhol's life and work. I was lucky enough to see the exhibition and this is the catalogue I bought then.
