Georges Siminon is the greatest Belgian who has ever taken up the pen. I am an avid collector of his works. His simple but forthright observation of human behaviour is blunt and at times earthy, without being titillating, life accurately observed in the raw. Whether describing crime and the detection thereof or the passions and compassion in the relations of human existence the man is a master. I have never found a thing to dislike about his writings, easy reading without the pretentious flowerey use of vocabulary of later day authors in this genre. He is a master story teller "sitting by the fire and recalling a thrillig yarn"! The two titles in this publication are the author near his best! These titles would make an ideal read in front of the autumn woodburner with a jug of zomerset zider!Read full review
