Useful but bear in mind they are fairly directional!
An alternative for those who want a bigger operating range.... or a stronger signal link.
Doesn't come with any instructions at all but you can find guidance (both good and bad) on Youtube.
My first serious flight using this system was yesterday and went well except at one point where I lost the connection to the drone for a couple of seconds because I did not have the patch aerials (antennae) pointed directly at it.
So, it works well, but do bear in mind that you need to be much more aware of where the aerials are pointed!
If you are fumble-fingered, don't even consider buying this system. The connectors used are tiny and the connections within the Phantom's controller have sealant on them which must be very carefully removed before you can disconnect the original connectors. So long as you have a steady hand and quite a bit of patience, you should be OK.
Hi peeps, for you guys who are not sure about the item and range, it does work and I have got over double range over stock items, it would of gone further however lost sight of drone and ran out of nerve, so bought it back home, for a small amount of investment in this, it safe guards your machine knowing your signal not gonna drop out :) happy flying
disappointing product. the drone performs better with the standard aerial. frequent loss of signal with the drone barely any large distance from you. I managed to get fly my drone 455 metres from my position before it lost signal. after that it would barely manage over 200 metres. very disappointing for what it promises to offer.
