Well detailed history of a little known railway in a remote part of Scotland. Its a pity that it didn't survive a few more years in that it might have attracted the later preservation movement as happened in Wales. This book certainly covered the railway's construction, the rolling stock, locomotives and the local businesses that was the reasons for its existence. Well illustrated with images from the period, including maps of the line. This book would make an excellent source for the modeller as well, considering that it is comprehensive and very little has ever been published on this unique railway.
