I wanted book about bread with different ingridients. This is very good book, a lot of pictures, a lot of recipes. It's my best book about bread.
I was advised to buy this book as a "Starter" to making my own bread. I am not in fact a starter but have been baking my own bread now for years:-) And as I am a 54 year old it may come as NO surprise, but I'm also a FELLA! Anyway, I have used my machine for around 7/8 years now around the time they became affordable and use it to quite good effect. But I bought this as it was A. Cheap And B. CHEAP!! And have to say I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking of starting to bake there own bread. it not only has all the staple breads in it but also shows how to rectify some errors and also includes things which I had not actually thought of, like adding Potato Water OR Rice to a mix? VERY interesting! And one of my own EARLY mistakes! Adding fruit to a mix TOO early!! Worth buying for those two tips if nothing else!! Added to this it is a REAL KITCHEN Book1 It stands up while you read it due to it's make up. Spiral Bound and with a VERY substantial cover!! Just remember to WIPE it down after use! Unlike the last owner who got MILK?? All over the pages and rendered it a little MESSY!! Good Luck, Chris Goddard.Read full review
I purchased this book to give me more idea how to utilise my bread machine. It is really good as it tells you all recipes that can be used with this machine. (my machine did not have an instruction book and only half a dozen recipes with it). This book although used is a great buy and worthwhile getting. Great product.
