not for novices
I have been looking for a book that would introduce me to the craft, this book is not that much use in the early stages, it may well prove useful once there is a basic understanding, but from where i am starting from it does not appear very helpful. The whole feel of the book is very retro. Printed in 1981, but the feel is more early 70’s The book does show the basic knots but then it seems to go from that to what for me seems an annoyingly large step in understanding. It does however have interest, as the title suggests it has a couple of sections that will interest the DIY enthusiast, with a section on working with clay and paper Mache, ideas for plates etc to a section on beads where suggestions are made for creating your own beads
