Dr. Sagan died on December 20, 1996. In Pale Blue Dot, Sagan traces the spellbinding history of our launch into the cosmos and assesses the future that looms before us as we move out into our own solar system and on to distant galaxies beyond.
Carl Sagan was an incredible astronomer and a very nice human being.
He took part as a scientist in many space programs. His knowledge is vast and passes it on without arrogance, nor jargon.
Carl wrote 20 books and published more than 600 scientific papers.
Carl Sagan was clearly a poet as well as a scientist. This book is superb... I read it when it first came out, but re-reading it now I realised how I had nor appreciated its brilliance and beauty back then. Everyone should read this as it is truly inspiring!!!
