  • Jah Friedland him a higher rankin.

Ed Friedland, the bass whisperer, does not do things by halves. This is a well written, researched and a very respectful guide to a form of bass playing I love, and wish I could play full time. This book with its excellent backing tracks takes you from early ska walking bass lines to the faster rocky steady school, to the melodic roots rock reggae, and dance hall which was owned by the great Roots Radics. Short but sweet. Nice every time as Flabba Holt would say. Well done Ed.
