Born in Nottingham in 1965, Gary Clarke attended his first football match in 1974 with his father. He held a season ticket at Nottingham Forest for five years before he became the first person in Nottinghamshire to receive a civil banning order. He has been arrested over 30 times and has 15 convictions for football related incidents. He has also been served with five banning orders and served three terms in prison for football violence.
