  • Essential book on British history.

This book tells the story of the 18th century slave trade from the personal records of three people involved from different aspects. It is a story that should be more widely known and goes a long way to understanding the complex and horrific business of using and abusing people for profit. It is a very well researched and written book but is on occasion a quite difficult read. I would recommend the book to anyone wishing to know more of our history and that of black people in present day Britain.
