It has very little to offer anyone over 50 just starting out on Pilates. Most exercises don't cater for the diminishing flexibility which comes with age. More attention needed to appropriate breathing exercises together with recommendations for duration or number of sequences. In practice, I found a more suitable book for this age group is Alan Herman's 'A Busy Persons Guide to Pilates'.
