  • The Tale Of Its Time

The best social history can only tell its story if written soon after it happened. A knowledge of what came after must inevitably colour the view however one tries to be objective. Long Weekend is ideal in that respect. I'm still reading but so far I like it. And it's about my parents' generation so even more interesting for that.
