Fantastic book, BUT it's a reprint
A fantastic book for those interested in 1950s British cars. But BEWARE. It's a reprint of the slightly differently titled 'British FAMILY cars of the Fifties' published by Haynes (as opposed to PRC) 10 years earlier. PRC = The Promotional Reprint Co. It has a completely different dust jacket, but the content is identical. It's quite a big book with loads of illustrations, many from period catalogues and many in colour. The text contains a lot of detail tracking the history of each model and the changes and updates during its currency, the prices of the various versions and quite a lot of technical information. There's a useful data panel at the end of each chapter giving at a clance info on the model. The lwealth of information given on the models feature dictates that the book can't cover every model. So it covers a good representation of British cars of the period. It's long been one of my favourite books, but I didn't intend to buy a duplicate copy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
