I’m one month smoke free today and haven’t actually wanted to smoke since I read the book, I didn’t find myself being grumpy or having crazy cravings like I use to when I’d previously tried to quit without the book. Id smoked everyday for over 15 years and not managed more than 2 days quitting previously. I would say I’m a non smoker now thanks to Allan car and his easy way! I imagine he has many admires.

I ordered this book for a friend who wanted to gift it to a friend of hers in Spain. When it was recieved alot of the pages had been highlighted in yellow pen and the pages were wrinkled....The book had obviously gotten wet at some point. If the item description had been honest the book wouldn't have been purchased by my friend as it was a gift. So very disappointing in all!

Smoking is a very expensive and, to be honest, dangerous habit. This book was recommended to me by a niece, who had read it, and stopped smoking. And so I decided to read it myself, my choice. Most importantly without the nagging and patronising input from family, doctors and terror propaganda from the health authorities. I found out that it is a matter of attitude, forget about the old brainwashing stories about the agony of giving up the nicotin. I have tried patches and got really sick, as they release a massive dose to start with. I also did not have to throw the cigarettes away at the end of page one!I read it through quickly once, and found that I did not get into a panic if I was nearly out of cigarettes, and the corner shop was closed for the night. I can "decide" to wait another hour, if I wish. So now I am going to read the book slowly, and when I get to the end, that will be the end of my smoking too. I have made my mind up about that. I really feel that I have been given the tool I need, in order to stop smoking, for good.Read full review
A friend was having a hard time escaping from the clutches of "the weed". Having read Allen Carr's inspirational story of his own battle against nocotine,I thought this book might help. So far it has lifted her spirits immensely. It will take a little more time to show whether it can help her make a permanent break from smoking - but, I hope for the best!
This book should be recommended by the NHS. I have given up easily and have no remorse or desire to stick one of those horrible things anywhere near my mouth again.
