A USEFUL STUDY OF TURNER' WORK IN MINIATURES
The text is very informative, but the reproductions are not very good. However, the book is still a valuable contribution to Turner studies. His vignettes - designed to be reproduced as engravings - are a wonderful aspect of his art, and the originals retain their brilliancy two centuries later.
