About this product

Product Information

This book concentrates on the campaigns and battles leading to the 'rout' of Ludford Bridge and the battle of Mortimer's Cross in the Wars of the Roses. These two events, within half a dozen miles of each other on the Welsh border marked the nadir and return to fortune of the Yorkist cause. The first was to essentially end Richard, Duke of York's effective leadership of the Yorkist cause; the second to see the first independent command of Edward, Earl of March, the soon to be Edward IV. Both events are put in the context of the time. This is a re-typeset version of the first edition, and contains some additional illustrations.
