Knitty Gritty for the absolute beginner
Absolutely excellent book for the beginner or for someone that wants to brush up on their skills if they haven’t knitted for a while. Clear instructions and concise pictures. This book is a change from the usual scarfs and hats. eg Booties, mittens, fingerless gloves. Babies/ child’s cardigan knitted in one piece using garter stitch. Suggestion and examples using different yarns, right down to lace yarns. I think it is a splendid beginner book, onto second stage and is not the slightest bit boring.
