"Rediscover Grammar"
I have several books concerning English Grammar but this book is one of two that will easily fitted into an average coat pocket. My other books are much larger and thicker and more detailed. They are also aimed at readers who know little of the English language. "Rediscover Grammar" was recommended to me by a retired legal executive whose career was dependent upon using correct grammar. I took a gamble a purchased this book mainly because of its small size. I wondered if it could be any good. It most certainly is good but whether it is better than my second pocketable book is questionable. I like both books. As for having 'compelling content', this all depends upon the reader's interests. I am interested in the English language and I continually try to improve my understanding of it. However, I prefer reading science fiction if I am looking for a compelling read. English grammar is 'too dry' a subject for my taste. If you are looking for a cheap book to brush up your grammar, this book may be perfect. Recommended.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
