  • Great for beginners.

Easy arrangements of well known songs with accompanying audio CD's graded for difficulty. An excellent tutorial for beginner keyboard players. I am well pleased with my purchase.

The book is fantastic but would have been better if the 3 CD`s had been included. Only CD 1 was included - little disappointed

  • Well produced with lots of helpful features

There have been several incarnations of this book. This latest version carries forward all the features of the original books. It's durable and well laid out, the music is well spaced, so it's easy to keep track of where you are on the page. As you would expect. it starts off with simple tunes, but then starts to slowly build on that, gradually adding more chords that are, oh so simply explained. There are many, many tunes that are familiar which helps considerably although some do not have all the parts, for example, you may get the main tune, but not the 'bridge. This, surely has to be, by far, the easiest method for learning to play a keyboard. Even if you are lucky enough to have a teacher, the sheer amount of music, and the way that the necessary theory is explained in bite -sized chunks, makes this a valuable reference and source of additional material. The CD's included are a very welcome addition, especially whilst you are still 'learning the dots'. I just cannot fault this system, it would be unfair just to call it a 'book', it takes you from absolute 'I know nothing' to a very competent level of ability provided you put in the practice. If you have a keyboard with a good 'accompaniment' section, you can impress listeners from quite an early stage, which in turns builds confidence and enthusiasm. A superb investment in your learning experience. A 'must buy' for all budding keyboardists. If you can read, you can play!
