  • Good collection of historical photos

This is a good collection of historical photos of Canterbury, accompanied by knowledgeable explanations of the locations and how they have changed. Note: the 'Pocket Images' book by Paul Crampton is the same book as this but in a smaller format so, for most readers, this is the better version to get: the pictures are bigger. The only downside to the book is the length of time since it was published, which means that what was 'current' at the time of publication is now becoming historical too. A new and updated edition would be welcome. Nevertheless, if you're interested in Canterbury's local history, this is a worthwhile addition to your book collection.
