Longitude how clocks made long voyages safer.
I had not realised there were two versions of Longitude, I thought there was only an illustrated version so was a little miffed. Still a good book. I am always awed by the old time mariners and how often they missed landfall although it often passed within sight or even hit land where it was not expected.
