Product Information
The local pub has been a part of family social life for as long as we know, whether you're a darts, dommies or a pool player, quiz buff or a karaoke king, or queen, or like me, just there for the beer, it takes up a good part of our lives. It's sad to see old pubs closing their doors for the last time, as quite a few have in the town this year, but we have seen that as one door closes, another one may open to keep up the tradition. Having been fortunate to have sampled a pint or two in every pub in this town since the 1960s, imagine what type of pubs you would have drunk in from the 1860s or even the 1760s. So join me on this walk, to include just about every pub that has been in Widnes and its surrounding areas since the 1750s, with maybe a visit to your dad's local, or your granddad's, or even your great granddad's.Product Identifiers
