I bought this book on a recommendation from a friend. I liked the book because it gave you an entirely different view on Star Trek the original series such as how hard it was to get the show on the air, how cast memebers were chosen, how the show was made on an incredibly tight budget and real insights into the man who started it all, Gene Roddenberry. Sometimes I got weighed down by the narration from Justman and Solow but not enough to lower my enjoyment of the book as a whole. The book has some great old pictures of cast members. I really enjoyed that. I've read other books and seen videos on Star Trek the original series. As I said, this book really gave you an appreciation of how difficult it was to get the series on the air and the struggle to keep it there. It was a real eye opener. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Star Trek.Read full review
One of the best references guides for any Star Trek TOS fan! Couldn’t put it down - tonnes of content and references photos from back in the day, sensibly written and detailed stories of how it was created - just perfect thank you.
